What is the Difference Between Administrative Assistant and Executive Assistant?
Individuals working as an administrative assistant job duties will usually include answering phones, directing visitors, maintaining files, entering company data into computer databases and scheduling meetings. Administrative assistants can further specialize in a particular field, such as medical or legal. For example; A medical administrative assistant will usually greet patients, file medical records and schedule appointments. While administrative assistants in law firms will generally conduct basic research and organize legal documents under the oversight of an attorney or paralegal.
People assigned duties as an executive assistant, usually work more focused on catering to the specific needs of the Company executives where they are currently working.
